The Federal Reserve is trying to engineer a soft landing by taming inflation without pushing the economy into a recession.  This will likely lead to a period of rising rates and It’s been many years since investors have been in this type of environment.  If the Fed is steadfast in its approach, bond investors will need to consider a different approach.  Prior to founding Envision Capital, Marilyn Cohen was an analyst at William O’Neil & Company and then a broker at Cantor Fitzgerald. Tom explained correlations in data that help to predict the direction of the stock market. He explained why changing conditions can affect the workability of correlations.

In this presentation, he reported on the distinct patterns that have emerged from his 40+ year database of investment newsletter recommendations. As expected by contrarian analysis, the markets tend to struggle in the wake of extreme bullishness–and vice versa.
